What size is a passport photo?

It depends on the country. US passports and visas use 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm). The UK, the Schengen area, India, Australia and many other countries use 35 × 45 mm, Canada uses 50 × 70 mm and Chinese visas use 33 × 48 mm. You can also enter a custom size. Always check the current official rules before printing.

How many pixels is a passport photo at 300 DPI?

A 2 × 2 inch photo is 600 × 600 pixels at 300 DPI, and a 35 × 45 mm photo is 413 × 531 pixels. Choosing 600 DPI doubles both numbers. The downloaded JPG records its DPI, so it prints at the correct size.

How do I print passport photos at home or at a photo shop?

Download the print sheet and print it at 100% scale (turn off “fit to page”), then cut along the guide lines. A 4 × 6 inch photo print holds six 35 × 45 mm photos or two 2 × 2 inch photos with room for cutting; an A4 or Letter page holds more.

Can this tool change my background to white?

Accepted Answer

No. It crops, zooms and straightens your photo but doesn't replace the background behind you, so take the picture against a plain white or light wall with even lighting. The fill color is only used for empty edges if you zoom out or rotate the photo.
